About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
The Hopeful Environmentalist is more than a podcast. We provide educational resources, host workshops/events, and collaborate with like minded environmental organizations and campaigns to empower, educate and engage the public.

Our Story
In 2017, our founder, Taylor Ganis, began her college journey as an environmental science major. As she delved deeper into her studies, she realized that the climate crisis is not a distant challenge for future generations—it is a pressing issue impacting us today. More importantly, she saw firsthand that its effects are far from equitable.
Living with a rare chronic disorder, Taylor became deeply committed to ensuring that all voices, especially those historically excluded from the conversation, are heard and valued. She discovered that some of her own health challenges were directly influenced by human-induced climate change, further fueling her passion for advocacy.
In 2021, Taylor launched The Hopeful Environmentalist podcast to share her voice, amplify climate advocacy, and inspire change. Today, The Hopeful Environmentalist is evolving into more than just a podcast—it’s growing into a platform dedicated to education, mobilization, and uplifting everyone in the fight for a sustainable and just future.
